President's Message from Daniel Layton
I am proud to introduce Layton Energy Corporation and briefly share some of our corporate philosophies.
Oil and gas are essential to the economic stability, growth and security of our country. Together they supply 62% of our domestic energy needs including 97% of the energy required for all transportation. The role of the independent producer is critical to meeting the future energy needs of our country. Independent producers currently account for 85% of all new domestic wells drilled, 40% of all domestic petroleum produced and 65% of all natural gas production
We are proud to be one of America’s independent producers and we are proud of our team. Our senior team has over 75 years of combined experience covering every facet of the oil and gas industry. Our people are our greatest asset. Our objective is to attract the most talented individuals, and to supply them with the technology, support and resources needed in order for them to achieve their full potential.
Our development strategy is a simple one, to search throughout the world for exploration and development opportunities that offer above average return potential. Layton utilizes state of the art technology for the analysis and development of these properties such as smart wells, 3D seismic and reservoir modeling. Through the use of these leading edge tools we exploit and optimize all production through proper geologic and geophysical analysis along with efficient cost controls and a balanced risk management program.
