Layton Energy Corporation is a privately held independent oil and gas producer. The company is engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. Layton has interests both domestically and internationally, on and offshore in Texas, Oklahoma and select international areas. The company is actively involved in a wide range of production and property acquisitions.
Layton’s primary objective is the developmental drilling for proven reserves and enhancing the value of production through technology, marketing and efficient cost controls. While developmental drilling is the company’s primary goal, exploration for oil and gas worldwide plays an important role in our long term growth strategy. In order to offset the operational risk associated with exploration, only projects with above average return profiles will be developed.
Layton Energy implements state of the art technology that until a few years ago was only available to the major oil companies. Layton Energy utilizes the latest in 3D seismic, smart well/field technology and drilling and reservoir simulation/modeling software. Leveraging this technology allows Layton Energy to successfully compete with companies many times its size from a geological, geophysical and reservoir and property management perspective.
